By registering an account and playing XenoSO, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use XenoSO.
Age Requirement
XenoSO is strictly 18+ only. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this requirement.
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:
- Not share your password or account with other players
- Not attempt to access other players' accounts
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspicious activity
- Accept full responsibility for all activities on your account
Community Guidelines
For detailed community conduct rules, moderation policies, and specific gameplay guidelines, please see our Community Guidelines in Discord. These guidelines outline expected behavior, channel rules, and community standards.
Rules of Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying of any kind
- Sexual, explicit, or inappropriate content or behavior
- Exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain
- Attempting to disrupt server operations or other players' experiences
- Impersonating staff or other players
- Spamming, flooding channels, or posting repetitive content
- Real-money transactions (buying/selling in-game currency or items for real money)
- Multi-accounting or sharing accounts between players
Multi-Accounting Policy
⚠️ STRICTLY ENFORCED: You may only maintain one active account. Using multiple accounts or sharing accounts with others is prohibited. If a player is found to be multi-accounting:
- All secondary account(s) will be permanently terminated and deleted from the database
- Any rare items or resources obtained through multi-accounting will be confiscated and removed
- All associated Sims will have their funds reset to zero
Deleted accounts cannot be recovered.
The only exception is household accounts: if multiple people in the same household want to play, you must contact admins to register each account separately under different individuals. Each person must have their own legitimate account.
Account Suspension & Termination
XenoSO reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time for:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Violation of our Community Guidelines
- Exploiting bugs or glitches
- Engaging in real-money transactions
- Multi-accounting or account sharing
- Harassment or abuse of other players or staff
- Attempting to compromise server security
- Any other activity deemed harmful to the community
Account suspensions may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity of the violation. Permanent suspensions are not subject to appeal in most cases.
In-Game Economy Rules
Simoleons (Currency)
Simoleons are the in-game currency earned through jobs, sales, and gameplay activities. You agree to:
- Not engage in real-money transactions involving Simoleons
- Not exploit bugs to artificially inflate your earnings
- Accept that staff may reset currency if violations are discovered
Items & Objects
All in-game items and objects are virtual property owned by XenoSO. You do not own them—you have the right to use them while your account is active. We reserve the right to remove, modify, or reset items at any time.
Rare Items & Resources
Rare items obtained through multi-accounting or bug exploitation will be confiscated. Staff may investigate suspicious acquisition of rare items and take appropriate action.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
XenoSO is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. XenoSO is not responsible for:
- Data loss, corruption, or deletion
- Server downtime or temporary unavailability
- Loss of in-game items, currency, or progress due to technical issues
- Third-party actions or unauthorized access
Server Availability
XenoSO makes no guarantee that the server will operate indefinitely. We may:
- Perform maintenance that temporarily takes the server offline
- Make updates or changes to game mechanics without notice
- Shut down the server permanently at any time
In the event of a permanent server shutdown, all account data will be deleted as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Major changes will be announced on our website and Discord. Continued use of XenoSO after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with XenoSO or another player:
- Use in-game tools (ignore lists, lot bans) to resolve player conflicts
- Open a support ticket in Discord for account issues or bugs
- Our staff will investigate reports fairly and take appropriate action
- Decisions made by staff are final and not subject to appeal in most cases

XenoSO is a fan-created, non-commercial project based on FreeSO and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Electronic Arts or The Sims franchise. All references to The Sims Online are used for identification purposes only.
